Saw my first Spyder on the road today.  A bright red RTS on 23rd Ave. So why is my Spyder still indoors under wraps?

I saw my first set of bikes on the road Feb 28 last year. I was jealous. Spring is coming.

I phoned a regular group rider to say hello and ask how the winter has been treating him. His name is Dick Highet and he's 83 years old. He lives out by me SE of Ardrossan. I ask him if he is anxious to get riding. Dick told me he was riding in and out of Sherwood Park about 6 miles (not km) between Christmas and New Years, was riding Feb 15 when it was 16 degrees in the City and had already been back and forth to the Fort this morning! He was probably riding more but I've forgotten where and when. Imagine being over 80 years and riding a motorcycle in December and February. I was happy to be out in March the last two years but it won't be happening this year due to health issues. Dick has a healthy attitude. It goes like this......I bought the bike to ride it....so I do. If you want to phone him and say way to go, his number is 780-922-2978.

Rob  ps maybe everyone is confused cause there is no heading on this thread from the get go.

I must say I expected an acknowledgement or two to Dick for riding in the winter. Fact is, I  thought riding in January at that age was worth a word or two. Anyhow, a reply to these words is the place to say your bit.
